Activities of the service for hydrological data processing and hydrological analysis are:

monitoring of surface water regime in Serbia;
analysis and processing elements of the water balance;
processing and control of hydrological parameters;
control, analysis and verification of hydrological input data into the database;
managing archives and hydrological data base of surface and ground water;
preparation and publication of hydrological data to users in the form requested;
development hydrologic analysis, surveys and studies for the consideration of surface water regime in the Republic;
production of hydrological basis for individual basins, and the whole territory of Serbia and display information in the form of generalized maps, regional dependence and the like;
study of the spatial and temporal distribution of hydrological variables with the aim of studying water resources;
budgeting and analysis of meteorological data for hydrological calculations and analysis;
creation, maintenance and updating of cadastre physical, geographical and hydrological characteristics of catchments;
maintenance and updating of the hydrological part of the website of RHMS of Serbia;
issuing expert opinions based on the Law on Waters ("Official Gazette" No. 30/10) Articles 117 and 118, to issue the water requirements of the competent authority for buildings and works that have an impact on the water regime, ie affected by water regime;
issuing hydrometeorological conditions during the preparation of planning documents according to the Regulations of the content, method and procedure of planning documents ("Official Gazette" No. 31/10) Article 45, which was adopted on the basis of the Law on Planning and Construction ("Official Gazette RS "No. 72/09):
